Military and ROTC Unit Training on Camp Liberty

Located between Birmingham and Huntsville, just minutes off of Interstate 65 in Cullman County, Camp Liberty is an ideal training site for military command, as well as college or high school ROTC units.

We can host a variety of training and leadership events:

Camp Liberty offers a 4,800 sq. ft. Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Facility specifically designed to support the training needs of active duty, National Guard, Reserve, and ROTC units. Built to military standards, the facility provides a controlled yet realistic environment for developing small-unit tactics, leadership, and mission readiness.

The CQB Shoot House includes:
 

• 21 Configurable Training Spaces for squad- and platoon-level operations

• Stairs and Second-Floor Training Area for multi-level urban engagements

• 70-Foot Catwalk with 360° instructor observation for safety and oversight

• Modular Wall Systems allowing rapid scenario reconfiguration

• Integrated Classroom for mission brief and after-action review (AAR)

• Programmable LED Lighting to replicate day, night, or blackout conditions

• Special Effects—visual, sound, and smell—to heighten realism and stress exposure

• Two 1800-Watt Sound Systems for ambient noise, gunfire, or explosion simulation

Beyond the Shoot House, Camp Liberty provides a 20-acre tactical training area ideal for full-spectrum field exercises:
 

• Realistic scenarios utilizing vehicles, two downed aircraft, and an RV

• Terrain suitable for tactical, medical, or Search and Rescue (SAR) training

• 32-bed Forward Operating Base (FOB) for overnight or extended field operations

• Barracks and cabin lodging for larger units or cadre

• 21-station Obstacle Course and 10-lane Marksmanship Range

• Air-conditioned, multimedia-equipped classrooms for briefings, instruction, or simulation

• Meal plans and logistical support for multi-day training cycles

Camp Liberty offers units a comprehensive, modular, and immersive training environment — ideal for honing CQC, MOUT, leadership development, and mission planning skills. Units can conduct integrated exercises combining CQB, field operations, and command-level training, all within a single facility designed for realism, adaptability, and safety.
